A miscellany of memorable characters in scenes from some of his well-loved novels

NEW FOR 2012

To celebrate the 200th anniversary of Dickens’ birth, we have compiled this mixture of funny and poignant scenes from Pickwick Papers, Bleak House, David Copperfield, Nicholas Nickleby and Great Expectations.

Laugh at the pomposity of the law as portrayed by Mr Serjeant Buzfuz; feel for Lady Dedlock in her ice-cold mansion; remember Miss Havisham in her loneliness; marvel at the audacity of Mr Jingle; deplore the goings on at Dotheboys Hall, with Mr and Mrs Wackford Squeers; smile at Mr and Mrs Micawber; savour the ‘umbleness’ of Uriah Heep; shudder at the evil Quilp and finally join in the boisterous election at Eatanswill with the Honourable Samuel Slumkey and Horatio Fizkin Esquire.
